From beyond the pale
Sep 01,2009
Been a long time.
Summer has been hectic and long. It has brought a lot of changes with it. My art show went well and I have product in various venues up and down Vancouver Island. My biggest change will be that tomorrow I start a new job as Rollin Art Centre’s Gift Shop and Gallery Coordinator. I am excited about this new position and I am sure it will use all the skills and education I have gathered in the last 9 years since I turned to the Arts as my life focus. I am also working on a wholesale order for Mud Otter Pottery. I am very disappointed by our government’s cut backs to the Arts. It is a shameful move on the part of our government who is taking advantage of voter apathy to do as they see fit. ’We’ the people, could have prevented this as a whole, but divided, we only have ourselves to blame. And yes, for those who may wonder, I did vote, I also convinced my 18 year old daughter vote.
