Winter Blahs and other hold ups
I have been working slow and steady, but I feel like I am walking through molasses. Even as I type, wet snow falls outside my window. I keep repeating to myself, ’In like a lion, out like a lamb’, praying that old adage about March is true. I am currently waiting for, four new elements for my large kiln. Finally had the last of my electrical work done. It is so comforting to have dedicated circuits for my kilns and shop. I ran into snags with my custom order and could only deliver half of what I promised. So I am reworking some molds for the third time. Marketing is the next big push. I am behind in that department. At the same time, I have many more paintings to complete for the solo show. I finally have all the images chosen for the pieces. Simply knowing what the plan is creates relief. Last week my inner artist was feeling miserable about not getting to do much joyful work. So I started a new piece, a three dimensional koi image that I am going to work into some practical household applications. One of the first pieces made will be my contributing large prize for the Days of the Arts coming up in April. So come on elements, (and spring weather), get here soon!
